Upgrading A Story

There is always time to start.

I was 60 when I started writing due to my disability. I couldn’t work anymore.

I saw an online writing contest. I said why not. I made it through and entered every Friday. I enjoyed it so much that I started taking every free course available. I did not know there were different kinds of writing.

Then I got with Medium. I had a story there, but there needed to be more response. My heart and soul were in this story.

I took that story of mine, gave it an uplift, and brought it to the front. Three pubs now have them on their reading lists. If you think your story is worthwhile, don’t give up. Go back and read your older ones. Give them life.

I have done several that way, and they have woken up some. Keep going if you are sure.

Thanks for reading.

Life can be messy, and I write about it. Travel, history, and life are my genres. I like to share my experiences although they can be messy.
