Savannah is the oldest city in Georgia, founded in 1733 with its beautiful oak trees laced with moss hanging down so perfectly that it seems like a picture. You are walking on the cobblestone streets that have been around for hundreds of years. Savannah is a charming southern city to discover the culture, food, and art. It is also only 20 minutes from Tybee Island. That is the closest beach, but there are other beaches to visit, like Cumberland Island, Jekyll Island, and St. Simons Island. Visit exploregeorgia.org

So how do you get to Savannah, Georgia? Airplane, train, or car. The main highways are 95 and 16. It is a beautiful drive and also close to Florida and South Carolina.

The History is rich here in Savannah. If you do not have a plan, it can be stressful, and best to think about what you are interested in for the first time. The culture is fantastic, and the food is plenteous.

Forsyth Park- is in the historical area and is draped with Spanish moss oak trees. The park has a café with a visitor’s center where you can gather more information. Saturday, it has a Market on the South Side of the park. They have artists and live music, and you can dine at one of the classy restaurants and gather fresh food and souvenirs.
