Coffee with God
How could you start the morning without prayer and the Word?
I wake up sleepy every morning and need a cup of coffee. But the main thing is I need prayer. I need to know my heavenly Father has my back. He says he will never leave or forsake me, but prayer and the Word fill my spirit and renew my faith to let me know I can handle the day.
Hebrews 13:5 says to trust Him for what we have. He provides for our needs; if we love money more than him, that is a sign of fear and weakness.
The times are getting darker as time goes on. We must pray that more people know Jesus. They need the peace of God that passes all understanding and shall keep their hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. (Philippians 4:7)
I know when I worked in the darkness, slinging drinks at night; I thought I would never find anything else. Girls were coming in and out of the bar, but I had no idea they were being trafficked. Some girls were there working to pay for college.
There was one I will never forget, and I still pray for. They call her Strawberry. She trusted me. She wanted to know how to get fake IDs and save money. All she wanted was to get out of there and return to school. She and another girl came to my house to shower, and they brought me a giant teddy bear from Vegas for their appreciation…
