Salzburg is a small place to visit but it is so enjoyable that you would need at least four days. You would not want to try to cram everything in just a couple of days.

German is the official language with an Austro-Bavarian dialect. The younger generation speaks English. You would be able to communicate.

The architecture is beautiful churches and buildings on the squares with cobblestone streets. There are parks with benches to sit and soak in the old-style world. Can you see it in your mind the beautiful old buildings and the streets going into the squares with people walking around. Pigeons walking around waiting for a nibble. You can sit on the benches and people watch while you take in the views and sip on your coffee.

The Christmas Market from Residenzplatz across the Cathedral arches to Domplatz and into the Old Town. They are beautifully decorated with green, silver, gold and green. The markets are famous all around the world so book your itinerary well in advance.

The markets are European Tradition. In these markets, you can find that special ornament for your tree or coffee cup for your special uncle. Do not forget those Christmas sweaters that your sister loves every…
